Paying for care
Choosing a care home is emotional and practical. Understanding how care can be funded can make the next steps clearer.
This is general information, not personal financial advice. [CONFIRM] Final disclaimer and guide approval before launch.
We welcome three funding routes
Self-funded, council-funded and NHS-funded residents are welcome. Acceptance of a funding route does not mean that someone is entitled to a particular funding package.
Self-funding
You pay the home’s fees directly. Read our fee bands and what is included, then ask for the terms before making a decision.
[CONFIRM] Sample-contract availability and fees effective date.
Council funding
Your local authority assesses care needs and finances to decide what support may be available. Talk to your social worker and to us about the proposed placement.
[CONFIRM] Top-up policy wording, who may pay and how it is agreed in writing.
NHS funding
Some people may be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare. NHS-funded Nursing Care can contribute towards registered nursing care for eligible people in a nursing home. Eligibility is decided by the NHS, not by the home.
[CONFIRM] Approve FNC and Continuing Healthcare wording and explain clearly how FNC is reflected in nursing fees. No funding outcome is promised.

Your next steps
01
Read the fees
Look at current fees and contract information, including what is and is not included.
02
Talk it through
Tell us the care needs and likely funding route. We can arrange a visit and discuss an assessment.
