Dementia care
We have access controls in place to help keep the home secure for residents who walk with purpose. Every admission is considered case by case after assessment. Access controls alone do not determine suitability.

Fees and funding
Clear information. A conversation that helps.
We welcome self-funded, council-funded and NHS-funded residents. Every admission is subject to an assessment of needs and suitability.
Read our current fees and contract information, then talk to us about your circumstances. Eligibility for council or NHS funding is decided by the relevant authority, not by the home.
Questions families often ask
Can someone who walks with purpose be considered?
Yes, we consider admissions case by case after an assessment. Access controls help us manage access, but they do not on their own determine whether the home is suitable.
Do you accept council or NHS funding?
Yes. We welcome self-funded, council-funded and NHS-funded residents. The relevant authority decides funding eligibility, and we assess whether the home can meet the person’s care needs.
How can we decide whether The Alexandra is right?
Start with a conversation and a visit. We will discuss care needs, preferences and funding, explain our assessment process and share the fees and contract information.
Is The Alexandra separate from the CQC registration?
The Alexandra at Farway Grange is the public name for our home at 23 Howard Road. For CQC registration, both homes are Farway Grange.
